Get inspired with our Classic Farmhouse Kitchen Decor Mood Board for our rebuild.
Hi All! While we’re busy doing the behind-the-scenes things at the Farmhouse. We're working on boring but necessary actions like boundary line adjustments, asbestos removal, etc. Since we're not doing any of the big build and design work yet, I thought I would share my mood board for our classic farmhouse kitchen décor and accessories.
You can never go wrong with sticking to something classic in your design and décor. That’s the look we’re going for in our house rebuild. But, suppose you want to dip your toe into trends. Then décor is the perfect place to do it. It’s usually cheaper than renovating your house based on a trend.
I would like our interior to feel timeless and authentic with some warm touches of leather and wood – a mix of farmhouse, traditional and a little rustic. I want our house to look warm and collected, yet not too cluttered. This statement surprises me sometimes because I love collecting...almost too much. But over the years, my style has changed, and I realized that we can’t save everything we’re given or we find in a barn. We’re working hard to keep what we love and what we will use and then sort through the rest. We are lucky enough to be given some family pieces that we treasure and plan on using that in our décor in our new home. But we will be filling in the gaps with store-purchased items too.
Below are items from my mood board for our classic farmhouse kitchen decor that mixes antiques and new classics – a look that is timeless and tells a story. What are your favorite pieces from my mood board? What elements do you consider timeless for your home?
Cheers!
