About

Welcome to Home Sweet Farm Home, where I invite you to experience the joys of farm life, mouthwatering home-cooked meals and the art of preserving cherished traditions. Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Northern California, our farm is not just a place of hard work, but also a sanctuary where we build memories and celebrate the past.

As we embark on our journey of rebuilding a new (old) Farmhouse, we invite you to join us in this exciting endeavor. What exactly is a new (old) Farmhouse, you might ask? Well, it's a unique blend of modern comfort and timeless charm. Being enthusiasts of all things vintage – from historic houses to cherished family heirlooms – it may surprise some to learn that we are constructing a brand-new home. But sometimes it's more expensive to save the past than to start over again. So here we are.

Within our new old Farmhouse, the essence of the past will resonate. We'll adorn it with reclaimed beams from the family barn, cherished hand-me-down antiques, and generations-old recipes passed down through time. However, we also understand the importance of modern amenities, so you can expect new electrical wiring, plumbing, sturdy studs and a solid foundation.

This blog serves as a journal of our Farmhouse build, a testament to the merging of old and new. Additionally, we are delighted to share our family's most beloved recipes with you. Living in a region blessed with an abundance of seasonal produce, we draw inspiration from nature's bountiful offerings. Our recipes are crafted with love, inspired by the flavors of each season, and influenced by the warm gatherings of our extended family. These culinary creations are a testament to the rich tapestry of traditions that we hold dear.

With my background as a former marketing director for a mid-sized food company, I bring expertise in recipe development to our table. My years of experience analyzing market demands and collaborating with product development teams have honed my ability to create delectable recipes that not only taste great but also align with current consumer trends. Moreover, as a busy mom, nutrition lover and avid gardener, I strive to strike a balance between flavor and health in my creations. While most recipes lean towards the healthier side, you'll also find indulgent dessert recipes where butter and chocolate take center stage – because everything is best enjoyed in moderation, right?

Here at Home Sweet Farm Home, I go beyond mere recipes. I explore the latest food trends, reinvent classic dishes, and offer quick and easy meal solutions for busy home cooks. For those seeking culinary adventures, I aim to inspire you to take your weekend baking to new heights. My mission is to infuse joy and creativity into every kitchen, helping you savor life's simple pleasures.

Thank you for visiting Home Sweet Farm Home! I hope that our stories, recipes, and passion for all things delicious will inspire you to embrace the beauty of everyday moments and find delight in life's simple pleasures.
