Getting organized with useful pantry storage pieces helps alleviate the stress of not having enough space in your kitchen.
Our current kitchen lacks pantry storage. We have one tall narrow cupboard that is considered a pantry, but I refuse to call it that because it’s so small and lacks function. I turned a small closet in our mudroom into our pantry because we needed more space.
We live in a very rural area, so I tend to shop in bulk because it’s not convenient to run to the store just for one or two items. I have been slowly transforming the mudroom closet into a functional pantry as much as time and budget allow. I’ve started to collect good storage pieces that I can take with us to the Farmhouse and I have to tell you, it’s been a lifesaver.
Before getting organized, it was difficult to see what we had in our pantry. This led to a lot of waste and overbuying of things that we already had. It also felt overwhelming at times because I couldn’t find anything. It became a Tetris game trying to pull out items and appliances that I needed for dinner. Getting organized with useful storage pieces helped alleviate a lot of the stress of not having a large pantry.
When we rebuild the Farmhouse, a large, functional pantry is on the list, but until then, I’m working with what I have. Today, I’m sharing with you some of the functional pantry storage pieces I use to keep our small pantry space(s) organized.
Cheers!
