Fall is just around the corner and I’m ready to break out my fall farmhouse décor. By the time August comes around, I’m itching to decorate my porch with pumpkins and start baking with pears, apples and pumpkin! Maybe it’s because I’m tired of the heat, or it’s because it’s my favorite time of the year around our farm with all the harvest happenings – or maybe it’s both! As much as I love decorating for fall (and Christmas), I tend to keep my décor simple, classic and semi-functional in our house. But for my porch, there’s no telling how many pumpkins and gourds I can cram on there!

The overall style of my house (or at least what I’m aiming for) can best be described as warm, weathered natural textures with well-loved pieces of tradition and heritage (hand-me-downs and antiques) that are nostalgic for the uncomplicatedness of the past. My goal is to create a home that is welcoming and warm, but also honors our past and its simplicity. I use this same philosophy when decorating for the holidays – simple, natural, functional and not fussy. I love mixing my antiques with new pieces I find to create a warm and collected feel throughout my house.
To help you achieve a warm, simple farmhouse feel for fall, I’ve gathered some of my favorite fall décor pieces below. I’ve also included some alternative fall décor pieces to help make your home cozy and festive this season. Cheers!
